IMR Participation at the EIT Information Day, Brussels

On the 13th of February, the EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) held an information day to launch two new calls under their Innovation Communities program (previously known as the KIC program).  The two calls being launched are urban mobility and manufacturing.  Andrew Lynch, Chief Innovation Officer is leading Irish participation in a key application under the Manufacturing call, with partners across Europe (including two key Fraunhofer Institutes).  The latest call will close in July of this year, with a result expected from the EIT governing board by the end of the year.  The Information Day was launched by Jean-Philippe Gammel (member of Commissioner Navracsics’ Cabinet) and Begona Arano (Head of Unit, Innovation and EIT, DG EAC).  The EIT Manufacturing KIC process represents a significant engagement mechanism for Irish industrialists and is one that IMR continues to play a key role in representing Irish manufacturing companies.  If you’d like more information on this process or any element of engagement from an industrial perspective, please contact andrew.lynch@imr.ie
