Dr. Andrew Lynch, CINO at Irish Manufacturing Research.

Irish Manufacturing Research appointed to Industry 4.E Lighthouse Executive Dr. Andrew Lynch, Chief Innovation Officer with Irish Manufacturing Research, was recently appointed to the strategic leadership executive (LIASE) for the Industry 4.E Lighthouse Initiative under the ECSEL Joint Undertaking PPP. Andrew is joined by Chris Decubber (Technical Director, EFFRA), Eduardo Beltran (Director Research, Mondragon) and Knut Hufeld (Director Research, Infineon Germany). The LIASE group is charged with providing strategic direction to the Industry 4.E Lighthouse program, which will build on ECSEL and FoF research programs, to drive innovation from the electronics components research domains into the industrial sphere. The work of the LIAISE group will commence in earnest in 2018, with the Lighthouse Initiative seeking to accelerate the impact of EU funded research programs for the benefit of industrial partners. In an age when smart digitization is a key innovation driver for Irish manufacturing companies, the Lighthouse Initiative will provide international coordination, direction and funding models to drive these much-needed initiatives into the future. For more information on this program, see http://www.ecsel.eu/lighthouse-initiatives or contact andrew.lynch@imr.ie
